      Hi

I'm trying to import a dwg file in sketchup that has xref. But sketchup doesn't import that xref thing, rest of the drawing gets imported. How can i import full xref?

      Sketchup Make 2017 (64-bit), Vray 4.0 , Windows 10 – 64 bit, corei7-8750H, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB

I am not an expert at cad but I believe xref is not imported - only "bare" geometry (well, at least groups and blocks/components do as well as layers). TIG has an xref manager which is similar to tht of cad but I don't think it will import everything like that so you have to set up your own in SU.

You want to "bind" the XREF to the drawing before import (do this to a copy of the drawing). Or you can import a dwg of the XREF file separately.
