Aligning a roof window with ceiling

just wondering if there's a proper way of doing this.
Say I had a 700 x 1000 roof window, and same sized rectangle cut out of my ceiling face, how can make it fit into that gap?Thanks

Hi Mike, hi folks.
If you just want the same opening in both faces of a thick roof, draw the rectangle on one face and then push it through.
Otherwise, maybe the attached SU file can help.
