I just got an email for a really cool looking seminar called
Photoshop Digital Painting from a 3d Starting Point
And the 3d starting point being taught is SketchUp. It really looks cool and I'm considering signing up. I thought I'd just pass word along in case anyone else is interested. Check it out here:
