Square to round transition
-
Hello,
In my work I have to draw very often this kind of transition and there is never one of such. even if it does not take me much time,
I would like to create a dynamic component that looks like this:
http://imageshack.us/f/35/screenaj.jpg/
the idea is to "parameter" the different lengths that I listed and perhaps the number of segments for the circle.
When I tried to create the block, I was not able to connect the edges of the round and rectangular, but it's something easy to do "manually" with the tools SUin your opinion should I separate the block into 3 parts 'round part', part rectangular, part transition?
there is a function for change the size of a face? like a "dynamic" cylinder that could turn into a cone? This is at least possible to do this kind of block? ^ ^
thank you
Laurent

Fredo6's curviloft plug in would be pretty easy

you could then push-pull the ends to make them a flange of sorts. -
Hi folks.
See this SU file for ideas.
Square to round transition.skp
Once this model is done, it can be used as a component and quickly resized to required dimensions using the Scale Tool.Of course, a dynamic component would probably save a few clicks.
Just ideas.
