SU Animation with Pipe-Flow Diagrams -- Suggestions??
-
Hi Guys,
I an interested in making an animation with Google SketchUp.
Style is WireFrame, with Flythrough Animation tour, and animated (pipe) flow diagrams. (very similar to the Link below)Any suggestions to get this type of result?
IClone?, Flash + SketchUp, SketchYPhysics?Thoughts and comments welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks

My first thought would be using animated section planes to reveal the pipe in a downward motion. Aside from that it'd just be layers turning on/off and having a good Style setup.

I'd try keeping it all in SketchUp and use LightUp animated textures
this is not the image you need but it shows the potential

I used the Proper Animation plug in to simulate light beams in a photometer array. The "light" is made by telescoping a bunch of cylinders over each other.
They are textured translucent, and I probably should have done something to hide their edges and ends, but it worked pretty well. A bit of a pain to make, because I was not very well-versed in using Proper Animation.
