Got a dual monitor setup since last week... [my 22'' widescreen wasn't compensation enough πŸ˜„ ]
And, even though the monitors are from the same manufacturer [Samsung SyncMaster 225bw and 940bf] the colors a way of.
This was to be expected I guess, but I didn't expect not to find a simple tool for calibration two monitors at the same time
[you know... to make it easier to match them]

Do you guys know of any [free] program that does this?

That would be interesting. I had to replace one of my monitors (not the Cintiq, thankfully) and I would like to get them to match or at least be closer.

            Any free program Pete πŸ˜†

I'm using two monitors on my mac, a good one (apple led display) and a cheap one (LG).
Though these monitors use different technology (the apple disp is a 8 bit nice monitor) the LG is TN (6 bit+dithering), they look almost the same.
What I did. Construct a B&W gradient map in Ps. Load it on both screens and try to calibrate one. Avoid colored zones.

I've also got to samsung synch master monitors. One is a nice widescreen, the other a bit older. And they are nothing similar to each other. Drives me nuts. I wish my firm would invest in a spyder thingy. It would sure help,

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

The good news are, two not calibrated monitors may give a general idea of how other users see your work πŸ˜†
I have a really calibrated monitor meaning, I can see sRGB profile as it should be. Most of all, I use a different profile when going for DTP, this last isn't a standard but looks very close to imagesetters-proofing prints.
