Hello all...system recently upgraded to windows 7...using two shared folders on the server, su8 saves o.k. to one drive but on the other only saves backups labeled 0.skb, 1.skb, 2.skb etc...any ideas....thanks

Hi:
I am not certain if I have the whole picture here, but I am guessing that the application has a default path for saving to a specific drive, and you may have inadvertently changed it, or the application cannot find the drive/path. The filetype .skb is of course a backup file. I have had similar problems while using a portable usb "drive" and encountered this numeric series due to autosave. -

i am having the same problem saving to an extarnal usb drive. Did you find a workaround?

Hi, penumbradesign:
Sorry not getting back to you sooner. You may have already found the solution. What I found that I had to do was copy/place the file in a resident folder on the computer for editing, and save the edits to that file. Then, if I needed to jump and run, I would save a copy on the usb stick through Windows copy/paste. I have not needed to do this lately--over a year, and I don't know if it will work for you. -

thanks for the feedback. I use an external usb drive to work from. I find i can keep my computer lean and mean by removing all the file clutter out of it. The issue went away when i restarted Su after the files started appearing. What's annoying about it is that every time you save it saves another copy of the file and numbers it 1,2,3 so forth. the original file does not get saved, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
