Cassette

Thanks,
Yeah Thea render.
-
Two questions Pete...
The square stippling, is that displacement?
Can I see the material settings for the black plastic?
It's stunning
-
The main texture on cassette has a basic Thea supplied noise at 25% bump, the squareish texture is this image:
Used also as a bump (no displacement used) at 45%.
-
Thanks Pete. I've still so much to learn
-
-
Amazing.
-
Okay Pete. . .you just need to stop now. I don't know if I can handle any more of this . . . You've crossed the line from being inspiring to just downright irritating.
**I feel so inferior right now.
p.s. Thanks for the mat pack. I'm sure NOW my renders will be amazing.**
-
Thanks Pete. The bump in that mat.pack is it one of the defaults with Thea?
Sorry for the OT guys but the more you play with Thea the more you want to know.
-
Yes, it's one of the procedural noises (Perlin) notice I scaled it down to 100.00
-
Fast and GREAT, what more can one say.
-
So you just dragged and dropped the Perlin procedural after scaling into the bump slot?
That whole Procedural stuff is still Greek to me I'm afraid. Same for Sigma in the Structure tab. Anyway, thanks for the info

I dropped in the 'More Settings' menu, scaled it and dragged to bump slot.

Penny drops

I can see segments in the tape - other than that it's completely convincing. Looks great.
-
yikes
-
Hard to tell "fact" from "fiction" with your super work, Pete.
Thank you for the mat.@unknownuser said:

How true, Rich.
-
Looks great, but I wish the seam around the case was rendered as well...
-
Flippin brilliant Pete
-
If you already posted in the challenge, can I use it as mine ? downloading and opening it in Sketch-Up should not take me over the 30min limit ))))
-
What´s all the fuss about the seam? Wasn´t it visible on actual cassetes anyway
