      Hi there,

I'm fairly new to SketchUp and have yet to integrate my models onto a webpage. Before I attempt to, I'm looking to meet this criteria:

      • User doesn't need to install an obscure/uncommon plugin before starting to interact
      • Ideally, no plugins needed
      • User can click on a "zoom hotspot" and have the scene shift a bit closer to that area (as if I was clicking on a saved scene in SketchUp)
      • After zooming in, the user can interact with items/hotspots that are hyperlinked

Could you let me know what extensions or 3rd party program would be best to accomplish this? I really don't need them to be able to "walkthrough" the model, I want to keep it simpler than that, where I "control" their zooming and shifting capabilities. I guess I could simply export a bunch of still scenes to image and link between them (one zoomed out, one zoomed it)... but the transition effect that one sees during a scene zoom would be nice to maintain.

Something from this page that will do the trick? http://sketchup.google.com/intl/en/download/plugins.html

      Thank you kindly 😎

        Hi Mike,

Before any useful answer, let me ask: what are you planning/trying to integrate? A building from inside(so some sort of a panorama would do) or some objects/products from outside(so something like the swivel function of the 3D Warehouse would do it)?

          Hi Gaieus,

90% of the site will be buildings from inside, and 10% outside views. In both cases, I need to user to be able to zoom in on certain components but I don't want them to have free reign to walk around or zoom randomly to any location.

On a website, can I replicate the action that occurs when clicking on a saved scene tab in SketchUp? That is a simpler way of explaining what I need.

          Thanks

Then I think some kind of a panorama software would be best. Here is an example of a Roman basilica I modelled:
            http://www.septichora.hu/Bazilika.swf
You can navigate with your mouse and zoom in/out with the scroll wheel. There are no hotspots in this example but even they can be added with different "actions" like going to the next panorama, opening some info window or images etc.
