I am a westerner working in China producing urban design and architecture for local clients - deadlines are always very tight and as such I've found sketch-up is an excellent tool for rapidly creating sketch-schemes for presentations.

This may be optimistic, but I was wondering if anybody knew of any add-on for sketch-up which could be used to automatically generate economic data for projects - for example total floor areas, building heights, density, volume etc.

For example this might be an add-on which could add up all the surfaces of a certain colour automatically and from this generate economic date for a particular building use. Some kind of connection between skup and an excel type program would be ideal so that numbers could automatically update as the model changes.

I'd be interested to hear any thoughts, I'm sure there are simple things which would help with this kind of thing, but the more automated the better,

      Cheers....

I've never used it, but there is such a program here:
