        Hi Nicolas,
What format are you using to export to Vectorworks? Whichever one it is, make sure that in the Options (bottom right corner of the export box) that 'Triangulate all faces ' is not checked.

          hi alan!
i'll explain how i import a sketchup file to vector works 2008... in fact when i import it using import sketchup file, nothing appear on my screen so i export my sketchup file to a 3DS's file and then i import this 3DS file into vector works... and thats when i have all the triangle on my model ... so do you know the actual way to directly import sketchup file in vector works?
          thank you

I'm afraid that I don't use Vectorworks, so I don't know of any direct import option. However, you have answered your own question by saying you export to 3ds. A 3ds file HAS to be triangulated, because the format does not support quads. Therefore it's bound to come into vectorworks as triangulated...unles VW has an import option (like SketchUp) in which you can choose to have all triangulations removed from coplanar faces. You would be better using obj format as a go-between....if VW can import obj files...because it will not triangulate.
