      Hi Guys,

Battery development is something that I'm keeping an eye on as I like to idea of running an EV some day soon!

The so called 'Cambridge crude' could let EVs refuel like gas-powered vehicles! Check out the story here,

      http://www.gizmag.com/semi-solid-flow-battery-design/18907/?utm_source=Gizmag+Subscribers&utm_campaign=d32c5800b7-UA-2235360-4&utm_medium=email

This type of technology could have a huge bearing re-floating Ireland's 'down in the dumps' economy as while we have abundant potential wind energy resources the lack of feasible storage ability and on demand delivery options will keep a slow starter. This kind of technology could have us here on the West Coast of Ireland becoming 'Green Arabs' in the future πŸ˜„

Mike, that map may be pretty old. Not only Middle and Eastern EU countries are missing but even the total of Scandinavia.

This is one of the worst part of the Internet; not only you cannot necessarily trust sources (as far as "trustworthiness" goes for a certain "name") but generally there is no date stamp on any "publications" or other "articles" so that we could tell what is completely outdated and what is still valid.

Another thing about the internet is google πŸ˜„

          http://www.energy.eu/publications/a07.pdf publication date 2009

The map below seems to be pretty much in accordance with the one above.
Damn not much wind speed for our countries Gaieus 😞

Well, Hungary is in a basin - often winds are blocked by the surrounding mountains. At least we have lots of floods from the same mountains (after all, apart from the River Olt, the Danube is the only river letting these waters out of the Carpathian Basin)!

Yes, I put up a bad map. The second one is more like the situation. Thanks Marian πŸ‘

Csaba, Hungary doesn't need much 'wind' when it has you πŸ˜„
