Circlar artifact in drawing

Hi
I've been lurking on here for a while and learning some SU basics (especially from Gully and Gaieus) and now its plunge in time.
In my drawing there's a 2D circle on the ground plane which prints as well. How do i get rid of it?
It stays with shadows off.
It stays on the 2D grundplane and moves under objects.
It prints out to pdf.
It disappears at low angles (gets smaller and fades away and gets larger with high angles)Any help much appreciated, nigel, NZ
SU version:8.0.4811
OS win 7

Could it be the "ground"?
Go to window -> styles -> edit -> background settings. You can either change the ground transparency or turn it completely off. You can also save this as a template (changing this setting in an empty file). -
