Hello. I am currently working on an interior view and want to produce JPEG of the view with a sketchy-pencil linetype that I can watercolor over for a nice hand-done-looking rendering. I am using a Pencil Sketchy Style that looks great within Sketchup, but the rendering I am looking to produce is going to be printed on 24X36 paper, much larger than the Sketchup view.

Every time I export at larger dimensions, the pencil effect doesn't scale as well and the JPEG produced barely looks like anything has been done to it. You have to zoom in and look closely to even notice the scribble quality.

Is there a way around this? Is there a way to export at large dimensions and have the linetype scale accordingly? I want to produce sharp lines that I can print at a large scale that also have a sketchy quality.

      Any suggestions?

        Hi Greg,

I am afraid it will be extremely difficult to achieve an output that size which resembles what you can see on screen. Sketchy edges are made up of raster images and adjust themselves to screen resolution (or what the heck). Read a very good explanation here:
