Should I be fixing terrain for large structures?

So I modeled a dam, and Lowe and Behold, it was actually accepted. However, since the dam was so large that the lidar used to model the terrain also modeled the dam as terrain. So now there is a lot a terrain that sticks through my dam. Was that supposed to be my problem to fix or will google do it?
