Placing a window in Curved Surface
-
Do any of the new features in SU 8 allow you to cut a hole in a curved surface to make a window.
If not is there a quick way of doing this. I have a flat curved wall and need window in it.
Thanks

It is possible with some plugins.
You must ues the tools on surfaceand joint push pullwith these together you can make windows on a curved surface.
But you can also search on the forum

Given that SU doesn't actually do real curves...but simulates them with a series of flat planes...it's sometimes easier to pre-plan where the edges of these planes are going to fall. If the window is small enough, it might actually be able to be placed on a single, flat facet. If not, you'll have to use Tools on surface as Henk says (or draw the outline manually) then tailor the whole window structure to the curvature of the wall.

Or simply intersect the window with the walls. Let's see an example; attach it to the post.

Here is an old way.
You still have to model a curved window.
