Sketchup start up problem

Hi all,
A fellow on an italian forum has a problem every time he starts Sketchup 8 (free version). It doesn't mantain the saved template and toolbar and the Welcome page is always shown even if the "always show at start up" icon is deselected. He has Sketchup installed on three computers. One is ok, two with the problem.
What could it be?

I have seen that before too, and I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I think it might be an administrator issue. Is he on Vista or 7? Can he right click on the SketchUp icon and choose run as administrator, then turn it off? Perhaps then it will work correctly.
