Rendering neon lights in video?

Hey forum dwellers,
My boss recently asked me to create a .gif of our company logo, altered to look like a vegas sign, spinning atop a metal structure. Optimally I'd like to make this look photo-realistic. Unfortunately, Sketchup Podium doesn't allow for video. Can anyone help me out?
If you've worked with rendering gaudy neon lights, I'd love to hear about that too

Vue can do neon lights and animations as well.
Those are just a few renderers I am familiar with, but most others should be able to as well.
