      Hello,

I'm new to sketchup - still learning and apparently I took on a project that I have no clue how to tackle lol.

I basically want to sketchup interiors like caves, dungeons, sewers , from photos. I haven't been able to figure out how to, i guess for a lack of a better word, implode a picture .....for example, this picture http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/2moons/norak-dungeon.jpg

i can't figure out how to adjust the perspective or terrain, and can't find a tutorial or any information that explains handling this type of scenario.

Any help info / links to tutorials / plugs ins i need would be greatly appreciated

      Thank You.

          Hi, Meganoob, welcome:
First of all, what ad was it?

Now to your question. I have done enough orbiting and zooming, as many others have, that I intentionally do construction and editing within the volume of a model. Most of my models lately are not rectilinear. You can use orbit in a limited way and you can use the Look Around tool to pivot the camera in place.
In the case of a pipe, build it in the normal way from the exterior and navigate to the interior and then use look around. Similarly with the cave idea, only you may want to reverse faces if you apply materials and textures. Obviously, with the cave concept you need to think about its volume as the surface, but seen from the other side.
You can set up scenes and save them- you probably know this. I am not experienced with this, but: you can create animation using scenes as steps in the camera motion. You may have to export to a movie application for further production.
I hope this makes sense? If not, ask more questions.
EDIT: I just looked at the cave of faces. These faces would be created separately as groups or components and implanted in the cave wall surface and "knitted in" with additional line work. There is a recent thread on modeling a head by ely862me that you may be interested in for this. See here http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=33770

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

i was thinking the same thing, modeling in parts, I just thought there may have been some simple procedure / plug in / script that i may have not seen that would make this an easier / cleaner process. ...... Thanks for the info, and for responding, I'll check them out!! - Cheers.
