Its a fine render
but corinthian order is different. Too many mistakes here. Especially this small sphere in corner.
Thea is a fine render engine but all render engines need some 'food' even less advanced than thea.
I really have to remind you this thread.
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=32148Now, how many faces are here? A lot as I can see. Can you build a huge temple with this density? "my" version isn't more than ~20-30 k tri faces. This is the challenge, I suppose so. A real PITA.

Very clean! Thanks for sharing!
Michaliszissiou, in this case I think the polycount is acceptable as it is a detail piece and likely not intended to be used on a massive scale.

Yeah, I know it's not the real thing but it was the closest thing I had on my hard drive. I plan on modeling my own as soon as time permits. Currently my third year students are drawing the Corinthian order and it's so inspiring to see all the variations from the plethora of renaissance architects interested in interpreting it for themselves.
I think when i model my own it will be pretty high-poly. I am very interested in how you did yours- I'll be looking over that post very closely. Thanks for it.

thanks troyhome, my version of corinthian order isn't precise as well. It supposed to be a background for some sculpts, I maybe finish it.
That's why the low poly. These were sculpted and retopo-ed (3dcoat+zbrush) over a fine capital model from 3dwh.
And a plethora of variations indeed. The greek the roman and renaissance versions. BTW the renaissance version is close to the roman and in some cases (S.Maria degli angeli) are roman (baths of Diocletian) actually.
Keep the nice work and have a creative 2011. -
It might not be technically correct (although I wouldnt know otherwise), its a superb piece of sketchup modelling!
