Dynamic Components

Hi all, I'm a self-employed joiner/cabinet maker and relatively new SU user and just upgraded to PRO 8. I'm having difficulty finding thorough detailed help on how to use Dynamic Components if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. One question I have is "when trying to rotate a component how do you switch the starting point of the rotation? I have created a top of a box which is "hingeing" from the wrong side. If I'm not making sense plese let me know!

I think you need to adjust the Component Axes for the Door? The RotX,RotY,RotZ will rotate around the XYZ axes. Under Menu item Window --> Model Info --> Components there is a "Show component axes" check box, and if you right-click on a component you have the option to "Change Axes". When I'm defining a cabinet door, the axes of rotation is on the "hinge" side of door. Hope this helps...

I've had a play with the axes change and think I've sussed it out, thanks for the help, it probably won't be too long before I'm scratching my head again and asking for help! So much to learn so little time.
