THE CORPORATION
-
Hi Guys,
I watched 'THE CORPORATION' last night on TV. I believe the documentary has been out for some time. Its quite a long view at 155 minutes but well worth it. It can be viewed here in segments, http://news.webshots.com/album/579270628QlCtTv
The following is a description I've located on the Net,
The Corporation (movie) explores the nature and spectacular rise of the dominant institution of our time. Footage from pop culture, advertising, TV ... all » news, and corporate propaganda, illuminates the corporation's grip on our lives. Taking its legal status as a "person" to its logical conclusion, the film puts the corporation on the psychiatrist's couch to ask "What kind of person is it?" Provoking, witty, sweepingly informative, The Corporation includes forty interviews with corporate insiders and critics - including Milton Friedman, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, and Michael Moore - plus true confessions, case studies and strategies for change.
It put things into perspective for me in so far that I believe many of the BIG corporation bosses would seem to be 'okay' people. Its just that this animal (corporation) has, in many cases, taken on a gluttonous life on its own.
I would like to hear what views you guys have?
Mike
