Seems you are in need of placing an image as a texture. Use the projected presetting.
See the discussion on the link below if this may help.http://www.forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=32960

I have tried using projected texture and it make the image tiled. where there are lots of the same image.
I am a lil baffled about this. That is why i am askin for someones help to see if they can make the componets and the i could jus cop and paste them. And i don't see the plugin you sent me.
Please PM me.
Thanks again! -
Never apply a projected texture on a component (group) as a whole but edit the component and apply the texture straight on the faces/surfaces.

I have tried this. BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK!
If i use the projected image it tiles it and makes them everywhere.
If i try to use a reg. image it doesn't lay flat on the surface due to the surface being curved,
So i am out of ideas. I really need this done.
But it doesn't seem i can do this?If someone would please make this for me or. Atleast help me through it would help. Thanks sooo much!

Sure if you paint a whole surface with an image, it will be applied to the whole surface! Turn on hidden geometry (View menu) to see the facets of the mesh and this way you can apply the texture on by one. If you need, you can add edges at its borders.

Stil dont work.
I am out of options man. -
What does not work? Did you paint the individual facets (with hidden geometry displayed) one by one?

Ok i got the stripe and the back painted in using the hidden geometry
Now i jus cant get the logo i need on the side of the car.
It tiles. Like wheni use a projected image it tiles the whole car.
Any suggestions? -
If you project the texture and only project it on the face(t)s you need to project, it should not tile. Have a look at this topic . It is not about a car and logo but a bottle and label but the idea is the same. Download the models attached and have a look at how they are composed.
