As the title asks.. any good plugins to make easy mesh patterns on a curved surface.

What exactly do you mean with 'patterned mesh'?
Can you use the sandbox tool 'Drape'? (be sure to make the curved surface horizontal, and the mesh to drape over it sit in the right position x,y-wise)
