I was looking for retro radio examples to draw for the modeling challenge and came across this handy item. I remember having a Chadwick Magic Brain Calculator as a kid. These were sold in 1950 and I was not born until 1969 so this was an "older" item at the time I used it, but I do remember it fondly.

So what things get your nostalgic juices flowing?

For computers; definitely ABC 80 with a own coded Pac-Man & Space Invaders. I am almost sure that I have printed code somewhere in garage. So many years ago... ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I fondly remember the 'Banana' bikes from the late 60's / early 70's. Here in Canada we all rode "Supercycles" that were the inexpensive store brand sold by 'Canadian Tire'. The pic I attach is just a banana bike I found on the web.

Ross, you brought back a vivid memory, the best Christmas I remember was the year I got a Raleigh Chopper 3 speed (The gear lever was definitely in wrong spot, I still have groin pains)

I learned to ride on a large bike with balloon tires but I remember a friend in the neighborhood was nearly emasculated on his Schwinn Apple Crate..

                                      David,

                                      I found this

while looking for something like this

I used the latter at university (late 60s, early 70s).

                                      Kind regards,
                                      Bob

                                        Dear Bob,

Thank you. Those are very interesting. I think to make those work well, one must have a very good grasp of the mathematics you are trying to perform unlike electronic calculators today.
