I am trying to use svg.rb to import svg files form inkscape. I went to the discussion for the script on this form and downloaded the zip file that contained the rexml folder and the other scripts needed. I went into inkscape and modified my svg save files as described in another forum. I am missing something much more basic... how do I actually tell the script to import an svg file? I'm serious, where is the command? The only other script I use regularly added a command to the tools window, but svg did not.

I am unfamiliar with the script, but it could be in the regular SketchUp import menu. It is possible for ruby scripts to add a new import filetype into the SketchUp importer.

So go to File > Import and check to see if .svn is an option there.

Nope, I thought that too. No luck. I also loaded it in 7 in case it just doesn't work with 8. No go there either.
