Sorry, didn't do this one in KT, it's Thea. But if I were to try it in KT quick and dirty: Use the basic pack dielectric glass and add a faint green tinge to the diffraction for the glass. Use Ashikhmin brushed stainless from the Ashikhmin MLT pack. Make the light whatever color and intensity you want for an emitter. I changed the sky intensity to .1 in Thea to minimize ambient light. Should be a good place to start.

Could you post the model as V7 please. Lots of people are still using V7, and some V6.

                Thanks,
                bob

EDIT: Thanks to Notareal's critique, I've redone the model. Guess he wouldn't let me get away with a 10 minute modeling job! πŸ˜’ πŸ˜†

Anyway, the glass stack has been redone to prevent any overlap of faces, all glass edges have been rounded and the light source has been reduced to 4 faces. I'll leave both models up so that anyone interested can see the differences.

Re-rendered in Thea TR2, really still pretty grainy @ 180 passes:

                  ...and here's the updated model:

                  glass lamp.skp

...and as V6 for the 6/7 crowd per request:

Scene looks ok for me, but have to admit it's a challenging scene to render for a unbiased engine as all light is caustics light. Some environmental light might help (like HDR sky).

Drop in an HDRi like Notareal suggests.
