      Hi mrayula,

This definitely sounds like clipping. That large component could be the culprit but exploding and deleting much of it may have not solved the problem.

      Have you got anything imported?
Are there any hidden layers (with further, possible, extensive geometry)?
Any chance to share the model?

Below the text area you are posting, there is a tab "Upload attachment".

There is a file size limit however (I cannot remember exactly). Try and we'll see.

No, that would definitely not attach (maybe 1/10 of it?).

I have made the model as small as i can (and still 28MB, so there must be something still attached...?). How can i clean up the file more in sketchup so that it can be attached? Purge, compress, etc.? Any sketchup commands like this?

I found purge. I am trying to get a close-up-view of view 1 (near the bridge), but the foreground buildings still disappear.

                    Hi Mrayula, hi folks.

You have a huge component that measure more than 20 miles across. It contains 79 edges but I have still not found what it is.

Get rid of it and your model will behave nicely. The extremely huge size of this component is what is stomping Open GL and causing the clipping problem.

To get rid of it, use the outliner and select the component named "10-02-03 - MCD ROADS.dwg". Once selected, delete it.

While in cleaning mood, you can also delete the 4 instances of Sang that are hanging near the axes origin.

Finally, I would suggest that you move the model so it is centered on the axes origin. This would minimize even more the risk of having any clipping problem.

                    Just ideas.

So the solution has been spotted - and it's indeed some imported stuff - thanks Jean.
