I'm sure this has been discussed and/or addressed, but I cannot unearth it.

Is there a 'change Z' (as in elevation) or 'match Z' available somehow?

You would use a translation Transformation from the current elevation to the target elevation.

        Questions a little non-specific, though.

        Hi

Well, you can move things using the move tool directly upwards on the blue axis.....I'm guessing that is not what you are asking though. But I am not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you looking for a script that moves things on the blue axis upwards somehow special? Or are you trying to write a script and you need help with a positive z transformation?

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Sorry for the fuzziness. What I'm looking for is a tool to move entities with varying elevations (like scattered in space) to the same x, y locations but all at the same elevation (like on the ground). I know I can move them, but not at once as the displacements are different.

Have you tried Drop from Smustard http://www.smustard.com/script/Drop or Smartdrop http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/plugin_details.php?id=397?

                Thank you, Wyatt.

Drop works fairly well (smart drop does not) but does not come up in the context menu if some inappropriate entities are selected, and I'm not sure exactly what those are. Unfortunately, it is text shy, and that is one of my prime targets. I think in conjunction with tt's selection toys I may be able to be more effective. (And also if I would boot from the same drive which I have not been doing owing to unrelated hair-pullers!!)
