In a few hours they'll start pulling these guys up from 700m below the earths surface.
I don't know about you guys but I have been fascinated by this whole ordeal these poor buggers have endured for the last 69 days. I couldn't begin to imagine what torment they have been through not knowing if they'll see their families again.
And the rescue; the effort and strategy employed has to be a modern day 'man on the moon' moment don't you think?
A few years back, two Australians were trapped for 14 days huddled together in a Gold mine in Tasmania, Australia before being rescued. they are obviously popular again in AU and being interview about what would be going through these guys minds.....
The whole thing is just incredible.

I watched live late last night when they pulled up the first three, very inspiring indeed. However there is one miner who might want to stay down there, what with two women waiting for him.

Than miner with girlfriend and wife is the soon to be richest, not only does he get the book deal, the Discovery channel cut, the HBO cut, but he also gets the Hallmark or A&E deal as well as guest appearances on the Tonight show.

I expected to see him get pulled up to the surface, open the door, reach out with a knife and cut the rope above him.....
Pete, I believe that there has been contracts written up with all miners that ensure that any moneys made are shared by all. It was reported on the late night news last night.

It's brilliant news. A real humanitarian event. Made me cry as well watching the news earlier.
