generally, if a script is SU 2014 compatible it will be SU 2015 compatible, AFAIK

It is compatible with all SketchUp versions from v8 upwards.
As far as I know all of my Plugins are...
If I get a report of an incompatibility, then I fix it; but usually I have anticipated the updates needed...

As was said, if a Plugin is v2014 compatible it will almost certainly be v2015 friendly too.
In the post where I said it was v2014 compatible, it was prior to the release of v2015...

Because I have like 4 plugins that do this... I was just wondering because it seemed rather clean and direct.

And thanks TIG, I've been shying away from things that don't say 2015 compatible. And very nice of you to update EVERYTHING... I can't say we could ever expect that of you, you have so many and you update other people's plugs too.

              Tig thanx 10^6

brilliant little tool, am using on GE to get a contour map, much less fiddly than making 100 intersecting planes method

The contour lines are a little jagged so corners need to be softened. Whats the best way to do this? Tigweld, use Bezier?

Come to think of it I haven't come across a tool that softens a 2d jagged line easily (like you can in adobe illustrator for example, any suggestions

ps Ive been player with simplfy contour and convert to polyline/fspline etc, you can only do one line at a time, its all a bit hit and miss - and with 50 odd contours this will be massively time consuming

with ca 1000+ extensions out there looking for attention, its all bewildering

              Any suggestions

              Cheers

              Robin

Many older extensions and plugins report as 'unsigned' in the Extension-Manager dialogs in newer versions of SketchUp.
This is not actually a problem if you set its Loading-policy to Unrestricted, then unsigned ones will still load and work.

You should only get RBZ files from trusted sources, like SketchUcation's PluginStore, the Extension-Warehouse etc. If you do that, then the overly draconian loading-policies can be sidestepped.

When SketchUp had the [not so bright] idea of 'signing' RBZ files, they failed to appreciate the extensive work needed by authors to process the hundreds of files that already existed [let alone any new ones!]. Many older RBZ files have simply not been processed yet, and probably never will - it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them...

Using signed RBZ files offers little real comfort to users anyway, since any authors can get their files signed, and there are no significant checks on the contents at all. The EWH ones are checked for good coding methods etc, but many authors, such and myself and Fredo, eschew publishing on the EWH, and prefer to use the nicer/kinder SketchUcation PluginStore, which actually predates the EWH anyway !

Its status as Unsigned doesn't mean you can't use it. If you have the loading policy set so it loads, it will work just fine.

Which version of SketchUp are you actually using? Your profile shows 2020 Free/Make but there is no such version.

Yes. It can be opened when unsigned if you set the loading policy to Approve Unidentified Extensions or Unrestricted in the Extension Manager.

This extension works just fine in SketchUp 2020.

                          Please update your profile.
