Prevent material color change with mouse scroll wheel?

I can't count how many times a day I realize I have accidentally changed the color of a material with the scroll wheel.
Is there anyway to deactivate this? -
You have do or select something in the SU window to deactivate the materials window...?

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
