I think I know but I'm not 100% sure... basically I like to model neat and when I intersect two shapes I always clean up what does not belong... is this the idea behind solid tools? It takes up some of the clean up work?
Also one other question... have any improvements been made in the UV department, like new UV features or tools?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Sure, that is sort of the idea behind solids. It is a bit more. Now SU can recoginze ih shapes are completely watertight, or solid. You can find their volume for example, and therefore easily assign attributes associated with volume to objects. Density, for example, to get a weight for an object, or cost per volume: $50 per cubic yard of dirt that needs to be removed, etc.

But the tools that were added are essentially boolean operation tools. Taking one solid and quickly and cleanly interescting, merging, subtracting, slicing with another object. It is WAY fast and pretty darn clean in its actions. Its pretty cool.

As for UV's, no nothing new there at all.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Thanks for the reply... Too bad about the UV stuff though.
