Import as Image vs Matched Photo

I am trying to find a way to trace walls from Tiff files. The 'import as matched photo' feature has a much higher resolution than the 'import as image', but it forces a 3D perspective.
Is there a way to import at the higher resolution (without the blurring) and still orient the drawing to match a top down camera view?
