Changing Size one part only

I'm just starting out learning about DC. Is there a way to take the model stile and change width or thickness without affecting the beaded portions dimensions ? I normally would draw this without the lines dividing the bead from the rest of the component but thought it might be easier to do as is.beaded stile.skp

Hi Otis, I think the answer is that you will need to keep the beaded portion separate from the main part if you want to be able to adjust their dimensions separately.

Yeah, the Bead is not going to scale without distortion. So you might try separating it into individual components, and setting their positions relative to one another. I used 3, but you might be able to get away with only 2 - the bead, and the rest.
Note, too that I changed the Axes of the individual components to make the formulas as simple as possible.
