      Hello

I'm trying to import a high resolution image into sketchup but the resolution drops below anything I can use. I understand that there's a build in limit of 1024x1024 for images in sketchup and anything higher then that will be (poorly) resized.

I've tried "use maximum tecture size" in the open gl screen in system preferences but that doesn't do anything for me.

Is there some sort of workaround for this arbetrairy limit so that I can upload high res, high q images without loss off quality? an addon perhaps?

      Thanks,
      Metiz

        Hi Metiz,

You list SU 6 in your profile while "Use max texture size" was only introduced in version 7. You should not even have that item in your version to check! How did you check it then?

I would suggest either to upgrade to version 7 in order to access 2048x2048 resolution (or correct your profile as now I am confused).

ok fixed the error in my profile. I'm using 7.1 atm. 2048x2048 still won't do for the hight of the image. it's a screenshot of a 10 page pdf

Then the only thing you can do is to slice the image up into smaller pieces and apply them individually to separate faces and adjust them like a puzzle in SU.
