Auto Fold problems

So far so good with my Missing Manual self instruction, but this afternoon I seem to have an insurmountable problem. I have redone it over and over as per the instructions and the video tut on the website, but my offset will simply not auto-fold. When I select the move tool and press the alt/option key, I get the plus sign but when I try to pull up the offset all it does is pull up a copy of the face? I have literally done this 6 times and I have to be doing something really wrong. Yes - I am pulling on the blue axis.

Never mind... I am answering my own post. The book was not exactly clear on the fact that you select the move tool, press alt, but then pull with COMMAND since I am on a Mac. Thank you Mr. Chopra for your video tuts on You Tube.
