Solidworks to Sketchup

Hey
Sorry if this has been asked before. We want to try and import solidworks files into sketchup (and then bring them into our app) is this possible? Has anybody got any experience in doing this before?

Save as binary .stl and use Jim's STL importer - http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2010/03/sketchup-stl-importer-redo.html
Then clean it up with Thom's Cleanup - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=22920
