Can I use Ruby with Layout?

I have recently discovered Ruby. As I long time Sketchup user, and an occasional programmer, I find the Ruby interface truly wonderful.
But does it work with layout? If so, where is the documentation?

Unfortunately there is no way to add plugins to LO yethowever the developers do not reject the idea so maybe some time...
