I'm a little confused, do you want to create a drawing that is 5.5m x 2.4m? and A0 page is 841mm x 1189mm that is a pretty specilised plotter.

Use a pdf printer driver like Primopdf, and print to file using its PostScript custom page size setting. The resulting pdf can be opened with adobe acrobat, then printed by your large format printer.

I do this all the time so it should work. If your large format printer paper size is very big and you print a 600 (or more) dpi file, the resulting file may take a while to create, and be huge. Make sure that you have enough space on your drive for the file, and that you place the file in a usefull location (folder). Printing to 300 dpi results in a file 1/4th the size. Can you provide more detail about the failure? Is the failure for SU to print to primopdf, or for primopdf to create the pdf file, or for acrobat to print it. Provide the sequence of commands you are using, the messages, and windows that are occurring. If you are failing to create the pdf file, are there any error messages from primopdf? Some error messages flash off quickly and are difficult to read. Have you tried with another model? BTW, I hope that you are not attempting to "plot", or to print to a specific scale, those require other procedures, and applications or drivers.

Adobe Acrobat will let you print pages as large as 15,000,000 inches by 15,000,000 inches if you can make it work. I have not found out why my Windows 7-64/Acrobat Pro 9(CS5) combination refuses to print larger than 1 x 1,9 meters - at work with Windows XP and the Standard version I have no such problems, but I seem to remember that XP needed a hotfix to enable large print sizes.
