If you've had unexplained crashes after working in SketchUp 7.1 for a while and it happens regularly then I need your help!

I've been trying to track down an elusive crash in SketchUp 7.1 but can't find a cause or similarity between users and systems when it occurs. My request is that you be sure to submit the BreakPad error report that pops up after the crash and include some information in the comments:

      "attn:jody"
      Your Email Address
What you were doing when the crash occurred.
What type of Mac you have (Intel, G5, G4).
What version of OS X are you using.

The attn:jody is the most important for me so I can find your report in association with this behavior, but the rest would all be very helpful as well.

I'll be compiling these reports to try see if anything stands out between machines, I may contact you directly if I need more information as well so please include your email address.

      Thanks so much!
      Jody

Extra Credit! - If you feel comfortable in Terminal you can find a log file that would be a great addition to your bug, just go to /tmp and look for "SketchUpUndo0.log" immediately after the crash, save that file someplace and put add a time/date to the file name so it can be associated with that crash. Then make a note in the comments saying "I have the the Undo Log as well" so I can email you to get that file as well. If you see multiple crashes then I'd love to also get multiple undo logs as well. Thanks!
      then...

Just had a tip handed to me that makes the Extra Credit available to EVERYONE.

      1. Go to Finder.
      2. Type Command-shift-g and type "/tmp"
      3. Copy the file "SketchUpUndoLog0.log" to your Desktop (or a folder for safe keeping.)
      4. Add the current date & time to the file name such as "SketchUpUndoLog-June3-4.26pm.log"
      5. Be sure to note in the BreakPad comments that you have this file available.

      Thanks!

Yes, This has been happening to me, and I will keep track. Also one other thing that has developed recently, and I wonder if others are experiencing the same. When I first start a new file in SU7 I cannot do anything (zoom, rotate, delete poor Sang, or anything else) until I take a tool, i.e pencil or rectangle etc, and draw something. Then everything starts to function again. Anybody else have this?

        Just monkeying around....like Monsanto

Yes this sounds familiar as i have had some unexpected crashes for no apparent reason. I will keep my eye on this and do the terminal thing. Will help if i can.

I've had a time with the zoom feature with middle trackball on mighty mouse. Randomly stops working. Zoom extents and it's back on track.
