so is there a form or something I fill out to nominate others? I have a friend who might like to go.

I think on the email we got there where 2 links, 1 form to fill out for yourself and one to nominate people but it has to be done soon I think?

the agenda says lunch . ..but doesnt mention whether or not it's provided. My guess since this is a no-cost affair. . you're on your own.
Heck. . .you'd think Google could shell out for a couple of pizzas or something. Geez.

Actually when the agenda says "Lunch" it likely IS provided. Part of Google's culture is to provide their employees with free lunches. They can't very well all sit down to eat and leave us, their guests, to watch. You can count on Google really treating us like part of the family.

I agree Ross, I was treated like a rock star [almost
] when I visited Googles office in Sydney, Australia. Greta work environmentand hungry?, head down to the 'mess' and tuck in...BTW, I've got a quote coming through today for flights from Australia. crossing fingers that the travel agent has worked her magic! If I'm in, I'll be looking to stay somewhere close by; don't mind getting out and about for a wander.....

For me the big question is does Google's Boulder office have one of those $6000 toilet seats like the one the Googleplex has? ** Mayor Mike Lucey spent a lot of time in there at the last Basecamp and he always looked refreshed.** If Boulder has one I'm going to face my fear of electrocution and try it. It is nice to be pampered but I'm not sure about the shampoo 'down there' but the blow dry and styling function part sounds interesting.

Consider the Best Western like many of us. It is easier on the budget than most Boulder hotels and should make it easy to find other participants to hang out with.

So should I be concerned that I haven't received any kind of confirmation from Google about my spot at Basecamp? I know I was nominated. I sent an email to the basecamp gmail yesterday asking about a registration form or confirmation email but I haven't heard anything. It's my understanding that registration closes today. Is that right?

Hi Wyatt,
I gues you know who nominated you... Could you ask him/her to (also) ask what's the deal? It would be bad if nominations were wasted this way (and besides - would be nice to meet, too!)

Wyatt - I sent you a PM - if you want I will add you to my nomination pool to make sure you get the nomination. Couldn't hurt to be nominated more than once.
I'm at the Bestwestern as well...figured it was the closest and since I can't make it for the Tuesday dinner, I figured I might be able to get to meet more SketchUp folks if I stayed where everyone else was.

Yeah Wyatt, I know you got nominated. I think that there are still people who are submitting their nomiations by today. So I would guess you should expect to hear back soon - the next day or two hopefully. It was fun meeting you at the last one, I hope you get in to this one also.

Just so I understand, you get an email from J.Bacus with a link to a form, you fill that out and then get a message saying your form was successful you can now make travel arrangements? But you dont actually get a separate conformation email?
