I think there is a way although I have no idea of how to do it, but have the texture with transparent parts to you can still see through the gaps it the motif even though its still a flat texture. No idea how you do it tho probs pretty simple.

It would be a picture done with alpha mask done as a png texture in gimp or photoshop. I'll try it out for larger parts, but when I do close up I kind of want the 3d detail.

            That image got MY attention.

So, what's the total geodesic concept?

futuristic memory drive concept for a fiction concept floating around in my head. I plan to post a few more views.

I used ixlrlxi/600v tutorial on this. I used gimp as opposed to ps so it didn't come out the same. I'm still toying with the settings.

more progress shots, heres what i have thus far assembled. I'm using the layer function which seems to be keeping the sluggishness under control.

I hope to have a render of the greenhouse like structure done by tonight.

                      Thanks dylan.

view 2 of my lower green house for my steam punk gas light fantasy city,

over 4000000 edges. I wont be able to add it into the final model until the end because it makes sketchup cry.

once again you can note the kraken motif.

Modeled the star case that goes from the loading docks to the main floor of the raised city. I added the kraken motif that I plan to repeat all over the city.
