I'm a n00b. I need a gazebo drawn up.

Hello. I'm very new to SketchUp. It would be amazing if someone could draw up a gazebo for me in SU.
Specs:
4 posts
8 sided roof
no railing
1 foot of overhang on the roof
45 degree roof
shingles
and 8 foot 6"x6" posts

this is a place to discuss and learn SU, not a personal model request forum. why don't you try it, post your results, then we'll help from there if it doesn't turn out for you. you might be surprised at how easy it is.

I agree with you, some people have no patience.

They are used to chat and instant, or nearly instant, answer and cannot wait a few days for someone to answer.

However, as you saw, I made a very basic design that is quite incomplete just to show this person one possible solution and also one possible way of attacking his/her problem.

I could have gone overboard and made a super duper gazebo. With more time on my hand, I would probably have done it

But, even if this person do not show up again, this may help someone else and this is enough to satisfy me.

However, the asking looked polite and I had 15 minutes to waste
