I'm thinking Apple maybe like Murphy's dog!

In my case from what I remember, the problems occurred when I removed the programs. It often happened that files that should not be have taken out were.

I see Adobe is taking an interesting approach to Apple's decision to dump them

It gets worse for Apple.

HTC Fires Back, Sues Apple
Taiwanese phone maker says Apple has violated five patents, asks to ban sales of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod. -
That's what happens when a company climes up the ladder. There are lot of others trying to pull the down. Whatever about the patent cases, the suicides are terrible. Maybe its about time Apple stated manufacturing their products in the USA!

Anyhow, I suppose this whole Mac vs PC business is why so many people are in love with Linux?
For one reason, Linux is free. Also I like being able to get into the nuts'n bolts of an OS when necessary, and I like how Linux often doesn't give a darn who made your hardware, it just works (most of the time); like XSane scanner software, HP seems to think I need a 250MB program just so my scanner/printer combo works. Linux? No bloatware, Xsane does a great job, simpler. Add things like Songbird or Amarok, GIMP, Blender, Compiz, and all the other great free apps that I can run on Linux (including SU), and the only reason I stay with Windoze is gaming.
Plus I guess I'm just tired of all the companies telling me I don't really own my software anymore. Open source FTW. JMO.
As far as apple goes, I think it's partly that it has the new-age hip feel to it, whereas MS has a rather stuffy business image. As mentioned previously, Apple stuff pretty much just works. I have a Win mobile 6.x phone and I got my wife an iPhone. My phone is slow, has too many menus to jump through, locks up occasionally, doesn't play any media other than MP3s, and any has no real "app" selection. OTOH, the iPhone is quick, does what it does well, doesn't lock up, plays most media, and has tens of thousands of apps. I'm always stealing her phone, I'd get rid of mine if I didn't need it for job-specific software I use.

SH@t!, the guy who lost the iphone prototypekilled himself? I hope they never find the guy that found it and sold itto GIZMODO.
"The world’s largest electronics assembler – Foxconn – who provide for Apple, has seen another one of its staff members killing themselves...........This news comes on the back of a notorious story where Sun Danyongwas (allegedly) being shoved around and beaten up by Foxconn’s security after a prototype Apple iPhone 4G went walkies................ like Sun Danyong, leapt from her apartment block to her death."

suicide?

Even though I just became a member today and I praised Solo's work as an inspiration for becoming a member, I must say that I am extremely happy in my cloistered Apple world. My wife insists on using Windows (insert the version and expletive of your choice). I'm the de facto IT guy which has to find files, dig through an endless control panel and plow through arcane menus to fix problems I never experience on a Mac. If the "Apple Guy" ever does a commercial with the "ZX Spectrum Guy" I'll know why I still want my Mac!
...CS Lewis I believe in Apple as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

But I just got an email ad from Apple. Seems like they are happy to promote CS5 (and sell it on their website).
As to the rest of this news.

Heehee Apple vs Mac
"Claiming bandwith since 19-who-knows-when..."
I'm quite satisfied using a PC, paying less than half for a mac-laptop with the same specs, and the comfort of not having seen a blue screen for the last four years. And on the techsupport mentioned before; I called Dell to ask why after only a year and a half the 'a' key on my laptop-keyboard was sometimes slightly less responsive. The next day I got a call from a mechanic asking me whether it be more convenient for me to have him come over at 9 am or 5 pm. He arrived the same day at 5 pm and replaced the entire keyboard free of charge, even though I ordered the thing with the standard 'free' support package.

Steve Jobs Offers World 'Freedom From Porn'
Mmmmm .... I think I would have to give the debate to Steve even if I do not totally agree with him.
-
there is one point there.
sorry Steve. you do not decide what I see or don't see off of your own interests. if I want to look at something, whether it is porn, lolcats or anything else, a private individual such as yourself does not decide that.
and that is why I'll never own an apple product as long as he is calling the shots.

Thanks for the link to that fascinating discussion. As for who "won", it depends on which kind of "points" you are counting. Social Justice vs. Abstract Logic vs. Debating Style vs. ...
I recently saw a televised debate between Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic Magazine, and Depak Chopra on the existence of God. I was very glad to see Chopra on the God side instead of a Bible Literalist. The debate took place at Cornell University and the audience was clearly sharply divided. Very interesting was the post-debate interviews with participants and audience. Pretty unanimously, both sides were very satisfied that they had won.
-
well the first thing i did with my iphone is jailbreak it. so i win the debate!
-
I have also jailbroken my iPhone. As its so easy to do this, what is the point in Apple acting as moral nannies?
-
total BS! thats like if a dvd player manufacturer tried to decide which dvd's you can watch on their (your) player.
-
Well, its more like if the DVD player decided it would only play DVD's that were burned using a Freeware app - no commercial burning software like Nero.
-
And we heart Adobe!
