File / Screen hiccups, ghosting

Recently imserted a large component (49MB). When i turn visibilty for that layer on, the screen beging to hiccup, like it is trying to refresh or something. Also bottom toolbar "ghost" appears. Any thought ?
For what its worth the compenent is a result of Rhino Paneling tools --exported to Max -- imported in to Sketchup to where I made the component file.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
