I did these renders for a friend of mine who designed and modeled this nice patio. I was playing with this NPR style. Good, Bad, Ugly? I used a Photoshop plugin called Simplify 2 from Topaz Labs. Good piece of software. http://www.topazlabs.com/simplify/

They are totally awesome earthmover - i am blown away by the quality of your work both PR and NPR. Have you tried piranesi - the output is very similar to what you have produced here and their new release looks pretty good also - not that you need it!!! πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

When you burn your arse - you gotta sit on the blisters!!

Thanks D! Here's a few in a slightly different NPR style. These were Vray renders prior to applying the Simplify plugin.

Any chance of some SU only shots? Interested to see your scene setup. Some line overlays on the vray only output maybe?

But great work as usual. Wish I had 10% of your ability 😞

Here's a few of the PR shots. Again, I didn't design or model this, just added in some of the plants and did the rendering and post processing. I think they are going to end up presenting the PR renders to the client, but I had fun playing with my plugin. I think the NPR renders have an additional interest to them.

Another job well done, Adam. The only two crits I have are that your patio paver material doesn't tile seamlessly, and (on a more personal bias) I think 3d people would do better justice to your rendering.

Sorry for not paying attention to what you wrote in your first post. Didn't realize it wasn't your design before i asked to see SU setup?

                  Thanks for sharing anyway..... πŸ‘

These look really good. What does NPR mean?

Pretty cool style, Adam. I like it.

By the way, I hope my fantasy and sci-fi sketchup art inspired your son to play with Sketchup again.

                        Best,
