I'm trying to model the Shakespeare's Theater (Globe Theater), and one of the faces won't come up. Heres some screenies to show what I mean.
      Heres what happens:

Heres a pic of another part of the model and shows what it should look like:

And heres a quick fix that I did, but as soon as I remove the extra lines, the surface goes away.

        Try now.
There were no co-planar edges on that little protrusion almost anywhere. Nice and noble challenge BTW. πŸ‘

          Alright, thanks. 😍
I don't see how that happened as I followed the exact same procedure on the other protrusion.

One more thing, if you look at it from the top, you will see that the roof on the little protrusions are attached a little weird. Any ideas on how to make them straight?

As for the "nice and noble challenge", it's actually an extra credit project for lit class πŸ˜„ (We're reading Romeo and Juliet in that class)

          Here's the file

I think the whole structure is skewed somehow. I don't know how you built it (nor how it should really look like) but I guess there was a lot of manual drawing of the lines and you went wrong somewhere.

If you really want to make it a nice, detailed model (and the shape could be regular instead of the current, irregular one), I would really suggest to start it over.

I used the polygon tool for the 12-sided shapes, so I don't see how it got screwed up. I saw how the roof is skewed in some places, but what I really need to fix is how the roof is attached at the top. Like, just how can I straighten the lines?

And after the 12 sided polygon? Did you use the offset tool to establish the "ring" and make sure all the sides are equal and the angles are radial perfectly? That would ensure that the whole building is regular.

I used polygon twice to make the rings ans snapped it to one of the axis. The skewed building isn't too noticable, but how do I make the line on the roof of the protrusion straight?

Sorry but the whole roof is skewed so you will probably not be able to fix it without redoing. How about restarting from here - this seems to be the same scale but the ring of the roof is okay.

Alright I guess I should. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: It's not exactly the same scale, but its close enough so that I can work with it. πŸ˜„

EDIT2: Maybe I'm just being really stupid but I can't find the link to subscribe to the topic... Can someone help? ❓

When you read this scroll all the way to the BOTTOM, then look at the bottom of your internet window. It should be there.

Too bad I didn't know about the follow me tool until after I made the roof πŸ˜„
