      Hello,

I´m trying to extrude a profile along a wall.

      http://lh6.ggpht.com/_HpzrAEVRcco/S4ltQ3bZ-oI/AAAAAAAAA1A/JjJS-MdZhAQ/Dibujo.JPG

As you can see, the shape is closed, and the guide is defined.

If I use the Push/pull tool, it works properly. The new volume is correctly created as a separate volume (as I want). 👍

If I use the Follow Me tool, it seems to work wrong. The volume is not closed, and it erases a partial fraction of the wall. 👎

I would the push/pull tool if it were only a linear extrusion, but I want to use it to follow the border of a door.

What am I doing wrong?? ❓

      Best regards

...or make the extrusion a separate group before using follow-me...pre-select the lines to follow > follow-me > rt click > edit group > click on profile with follow-me tool

That works, but seems some kind of bug. Isn´t it?

Not really, its a good idea to keep all entities of your model grouped in case you need to edit them later. For example, you may decide to change that simple profile for a different one down the road - if its grouped just delete the group and draw the new one, if its not grouped, you have to delete every line of the old profile before drawing the new one.

Grouping also will make it easier to texture and organize your model, especially important as your models get more complex...
