    Hello,
I´ve got a model of landscape done in Sketchup. Onto this model I have dropped a group of trees represented by spheres. This I exported via max file into Vue and I´m trying to substitute the balls by trees. But Vue always crashes. I think it is due to the low capacity of my computer.

So my question is: "Is there a trick, how to change a big number of components for another objects in VUE smartly?"

    Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
well, i know quite a lot of people complaining about crashes in Vue, but anyway, if i understand your post correctly, why to change the dummies? Why not to use the Vue trees directly using excellent Vue ecosystem? You can spray them on terrain or use editor.
Not sure thats what you wanted to hear 😄 Anyway, let me know 😄

You can make an ecosystem, with one or more plants or Vue objects.

Exactly, thats what i am talking about. Why make it complicated and it is crashing (as post above states), when you can import just the terrain and let the ecosystem work for you. You can have quite a complex ecosystem with several different trees, grasses at different altitude, slope value...etc....

Thanks for posts. I try to make a model of actual vegetation. It means, that I import a photo of terrain into sketchup, project it onto terrain made of contour lines and where I see a "green spot", there is a tree. So I placed a component onto the terrain on these spots and I would like to replace them with trees in Vue. Ii is truth, I could make the same direct in Vue.
